About usRestaurant de Koe was opened in 1922 by Mr. De Koe. Afterwards, the then already famous restaurant on the Volendam dike was continued by Manus Runderkamp. In 1976, the current owner Piet Jonk (nickname: Peterolie) took over the restaurant. Piet expanded the restaurant and put it on the map both nationally and internationally. His son Pieter Jonk now ensures the continuation of the successful concept introduced by Piet Peterolie.
